November Favourites

Hello everyone,
I cant believe it December already (somebody pinch me) but with another month gone another monthly favourites appear. Here goes nothing...

Soap and Glory Kick Ass Concealer

I think I must have rambled on about this concealer for a good few posts now but honestly I've completely fallen in love with it. I love the creamy consistency that both of the comcealers included have and how easy they are to blend. They also include a setting powder and applicator for on the go usage. For £10 what more could you ask for? I also did a full review of the concealer, click here.

Soap and Glory Super Cat Liner

And they're back. I've never tried anything from the eyes range in Soap and Glory as I've never really known what to expect from it. However upon the search for a new eyeliner I came across the Soap and Glory stand and found this little beauty. The pen very easily slides along your eyelid and leaves a smooth curve that looks utterly professional.

Lancome Eye Palette

For a while now I've been lusting over this very pretty little palette, so when my mum returns from New York with this as a present I was a very happy bunny. All the shades work perfectly for my cool undertone skin and compliment my blue eyes to really make them pop. All the shades have a pigment to die for and will definitely get its wear from me. Not only is the product magnificent but the overall packaging is so striking and pretty I kind of feel like its a work of art. For anyone who is serious makeup lover and you're looking for a present this should be on your list.

Fashion booklet

Not only am I a beauty lover but I'm also a big fashion enthusiast. I adore putting outfits together or customizing pieces to make them unique from anything else. when trawling through the internet for a Christmas party outfit I came across the most beautiful holographic notebook specifically for fashion. Within the book you have correct terms used within the business and there definitions and also sizing instructions for all corners of the earth (perfect for Ebay shopping!) It also has a space where you can design outfit or clothing items. I'm sure if you head over to my Instagram or Twitter you'll see my creations put to paper.

Drama Lessons

Here's another fact about me, I'm a massive theater geek. Recently I began to do my GCSE drama course and I'm really enjoying the freedom to choose what you do within the lesson and how much independent leaning you do. I hate being told what to do and love having a bit of freedom to put a personal flare on my work and I love performing so its practically a perfect lesson for me. (can you tell I'm also a comic fan)

Is It Worth The Hype #2

Hello everyone,
Today I'm doing a little review on the Soap and Glory Kick Ass Concealer. If you have read my previous posts you will know I'm a huge fan of the brand and adore pretty much all of their products.

Soap and Glory Kick Ass Concealer

First off I just want to say how in love I was with the packaging. I love love love the pink and gold which, lets be series, looks good on any girls dressing table.

Not only does the overall product look ridiculously pretty, the actual product is such a good dupe for Bobbi Browns compact concealer. Inside toy have two compartments, one for the two concealer a and the other for a setting powder.

The two concealers are both different tones which are designed for different uses. The more peach toned colour is for your under eye circles whereas the skin toned part is aimed at covering any imperfections.

Both concealers have a creamy consistency which glides along the skin and blends perfectly.

The setting powder also is brilliant and evens out the concealer if necessary.

I would recommend this to anyone going in all honestly and think it's one of the best high street concealers on the market.

Beauty Haul

Hello strawberries,
First off I would like to apologies for my absence on my usual post day Sunday. I've been ridiculously busy with mid-term revision. Anyway I've been doing a spot of shopping and thought I'd share with you my purchases.

Soap and Glory Kick Ass Concealer

Soap and glory is 100% one of the best drug store brands going. It's reasonably priced and has the quality of a high end brand. I was particularly keen to own this item when I realised how much of a good dupe this was for The Bobbi Brown compact concealer. The product contains two concealers, (a brightener and cover) and a setting powered all in one.

Maybeline Colour Drama - Keep it classy

Maybelline lip products are the best on the high street. The chubby stick formula is very similar to mac lipstick formulas and also have a similar scent. I adore this shade is it is a little darker than a nude but is still has a pink tone.

Soap and Glory Super Cat Liner

Again, soap and glory but this time for eyes. I've heard raving reviews about this product and was dying to try it. It literally does as it says on the box, carbon black and last for ages. After further trial a review will be appearing.

Seventeen Contour Kit

Seventeen is another one of those wonderful high street brands that offers quality for a good price. I've been after a good contouring kit for a while now however, didn't want to spend too much. I've only used this product once and have been very impressed with the results its given. For £6 whats not to love.

Seventeen Brow Kit

My eyebrows just so happen to be my proud and joy. I've recently been using the MUA brow palette and not been particularly impressed with it so thought I would spend a bit more money this time. I love the overall look of the product and think you get so much for your money. Again, seventeen is yet to disappoint.

Rita Ora Rimmel Collection - Shade 403

Just because summer has gone the summer shades don't have to. This is one of Rita Ora's collection with Rimmel which I must say I've fallen slightly in love with over this year. All the varnishes give a good coverage, colour pay off and need no more than 2 coats. Well worth its £3.

Stealing Street Styles #2

Hello everyone,
Last week I began a series called Stealing Street Styles in which, I take a celebrities outfit and recreate it with cheaper alternatives. Enjoy having a non broken bank balance.

Gwen Stefani

If you try to tell me you don't love Gwen's effortlessly flawless yet casual outfits you, my friend, are lying! I particularly loved this look as I also enjoy taking a statement piece and working my outfit around it. In all honesty I'm not sure what I prefer more, the cute dress or cute dog!

On my quest to find the perfect interpretation I found this beautiful lace detailed dress. This is such an easy piece to transition between seasons due to the coloration and short sleeves but, will work with majority outfits, especially black to add a pop of colour and flatter a good percentage of body shapes. 100% worth the purchase.

Knee high boots - £35

A big Winter trend this year has been knee high boots. I love how Gwen has paired them with such a simple outfit to make them less of a statement but still leaves her looking on high trend.

Sunglasses - £10

If you're a Brit like me you'll agree that it's not sunglasses weather, however they are always handy to chuck in your bag in case you do get a random burst of sunshine Circle sunglasses inflated trend wise in summer so by bringing a summer trend into the winter we also bet to up cycle our last reminiscence of warmth and sunbathing without splashing the cash.

Leather bag - £80

In my opinion a good quality black leather bag should appear in every woman's fashion collection. H&M bags last forever and have a real quality hence why I went for a slightly more pricey alternative. I bought a bag similar this a few years back from H&M and, minus the few marks here and there, its still in wonderful condition. Its such a multi functional piece that can work with literally any outfit. You get what you pay for in today's shopping and if you want something to last sometimes the extra £10 makes a world of difference.

M x.

Is It Worth The Hype #1

Hello everyone,
Mac. One of the most popular and prestigious brands going. I suppose that's why my eyes light up when I'm faced with a mac counter. One of my favourite beauty items to purchase is lipsticks so of course for me buying a lipstick with such a high reputation makes my little heart sing.

Rebel

I'm a huge fan of purple as I like my lips to be the statement of my outfit. When Rebel caught my eye I knew this purple shade had to be bought. I adore the warm red undertone to the purple giving it a more berry appearance that lasts through majority of seasons and makes the shade more wearable. The scent of all mac makeup is always delightful and as always the lipsticks never disappoint. The only problem  do have with Rebel is that it rubs off very easily and leaves the colour outline around your lips. However, this will not prevent me from adding more to my collection.

Stealing Street Styles #1

Hello everyone,
My idea for today's stemmed from looking at a few to many winter street style outfits which I happen to have fallen in love with. My aim for this series is to take a celebrities outfit and recreate it but with high street/more affordable alternatives. I'm always up for recreating outfits that inspire me whilst taking my own spin on them and not breaking the bank balance. Surely I'm not the only one?

Alexa Chung

Who better than to start a new series off with than Alexa Chung. A model, Vogue editor and all round gorgeous fashion guru.

I fell in love with Alexa's simple black outfit with the burgundy fedora being the main attraction. I think a good hat can go with anything and by the looks of it Miss Chung thinks so too. I also like how she has used a lighter black/grey coloured pullover as it gives a subtle break of the all black scheme and transitions into the early winter months perfectly as she still has the grey tone, a huge Autumn trend. However, this outfit inst just a winter one. It can work for any season and can be dressed up or down so easily. Its your perfect basic. Definitely an outfit I will be adding to my wardrobe.

Red Fedora - River Island - £25
V neck pullover - wool overs - £37
Chelsea heeled ankle boots - EBay - £12.99
Black jeans - h&m - £7.99
Biker jacket - Dorothy Perkins - £35
Black clutch - Asos - £13.99

October Favourites

Hello strawberries,
This months favourites is a short one as I've been saving up for Christmas (7 weeks!) but I hope you enjoy the items I've collected for today's post.

Duster Coat

Ah duster coats. The autumnal trend. I've always loved an oversize coat so when they became high fashion I was all over it. I went for a black and white one as it goes with everything and it allows me to inject a pop of colour into my outfit with having to worry whether it will clash with my coat. I loved the pattern off this out as I am such a fan of geometric patterned clothing and I find it flatters pretty much anyone.

Primark clothing-size 8-£23

Soap and Glory Thick and fast mascara

Soap and Glory is one of the brand than anyone, any age adores. I love all of its bath range and the makeup is brilliant value for money. One of my particular favourites from the brand is the 'thick and fast mascara.' This mascara gives your lashes that perfect curve, keeps them separated and gives them a decent length.I've had so many compliments on my lashes from using this mascara which never hurts no one. The only complaint I would have is that by the end of the day you do have fall down however, this can be easily fixed with a bit of tissue. So I would definitely recommend the purchase.

Revlon Nail Varnish - Divine - Shade 660

This is autumn leaves in a bottle. Revlon have made the most perfect autumn colour in history with Divine. I instantly look at the shade on my nails and just think crunchy leaves and hot chocolate. The polish has a red shimmer run through the maroon brown giving it a subtle red undertone. I'm obsessed.

Box Bagpack

The bagpack has also been a huge trend this season so being able to put a more sophisticated spin on a classic makes me swoon. I love the gold trim around the bag and zip detailing as it just gives that little extra something special.

Hot Chocolate

The hot chocolate season has returned! You bring the whipped cream, I'll bring the marshmallows.
